How to recharge a existing KeyCard from Skidata?

All ski passes with the exception of the Obertauern WinterCard can be topped up on existing KeyCards.

How it works:

  • Add your desired ski pass to the shopping basket.
  • Once you have added all ski passes to the shopping basket, click on "To order" to proceed to the next step.
  • The "KeyCard" window will appear - there you can choose whether you want to use an existing KeyCard.
    You do this with "Register new KeyCard to my account"
    (If you have already saved your KeyCard number in your user account, you can also use "Recharge the skipassto a KeyCard that I´ve already registered to my account".




  • If you want to register a new KeyCard, this window will appear:



  • Simply enter the 23-digit KeyCard number on the back of your KeyCard in the "KeyCard number" field.
    Make absolutely sure that you have entered the correct number!


Go straight to the lift and save yourself queuing at the lift ticket offices!

Which ski passes can be purchased online?

Ski passes for the Obertauern ski area with a maximum validity of up to 8 days and the Obertauern Winter Card can be purchased online in the online ticket shop.
Discounted ski passes (e.g. for people with disabilities), points cards, group tickets, ski passes valid for 9 days or more and ski passes for supra-regional ski areas are only available on site at the lift ticket offices.

May I buy severeral lift tickes in one transaction?

Yes you can easily buy the ticket for your children, family or friends in one single transaction.
 
We will store your information and connect your various tickets into one single useraccount. Your ticket and associated family and friends can easily be administered. Next time you want to buy a ticket there will be no need register keycard numbers and names.

Age group regulations 2024/2025

Children: Born 2009 and later. Up to the 6th birthday children ski for free when accompanied by a parent.
Youths: Born 2006, 2007, 2008.
Seniors: Persons born 1960 or earlier.

The ski pass must be presented to the cable car staff or inspector on request and handed over for the duration of the inspection. Should access to the data be refused, the data carrier may be blocked for the winter season at all lifts within the valid ski pool. If guests are found in the inspection area without a ski pass or with an invalid ski pass, damages will be charged. Misused ski passes will be confiscated without replacement. Pursuant to our tariff conditions, persons with improperly used ski passes will face an additional charge of EUR 50 or an administrative fine of EUR 250.

Do I have to choose a specific date?

Yes, a validity day must be selected for all ski passes, for multi-day tickets it is the validity period.

Do I need a Key Card?

Your ski ticket will be stored on a contactless data medium. Usually this card is a Key Card. The Key Card is a card which enables convenient top-up (re-charge) from home in our online shop. For this reason we recommend you take your Key Card home with you and store it in your user account, so it can be ‘re-charged’ conveniently at home for your next skiing days. In Obertauern Key Cards are issued for a € 2 deposit. An exception are tickets issued from ticket machines. These tickets are issued without a deposit. Top-up not available.

How do I receive tickets ordered in the online ticket shop?

You can order your tickets conveniently from home in our online ticket shop. If you still have a Key Card at home, you can simply add this to your user account and top it up. No need to go to the cash point or the ticket machine. Otherwise, use the ‘pick-up’ function. You will receive a QR-code by e-mail which you can use to collect your ski passes on site at one of our ticket machines. It is of course also possible for ski passes to be collected at the cash points using the QR-Code.

What is meant by ‘Collection’ and ‘Pick-up’ ticket?

Upon purchase of a tickets you will receive a QR code by e-mail. This is to be scanned at one of our cash points or at a PICK-UP machine, then you will receive your own ticket.

Where do I get my tickets?

You can easily pick up your ski ticket on-site at one of the pick-up machines (without ski pass deposit), at sales partners (selected hotels) and at the cash desks of Bergbahnen Obertauern (with ski pass deposit of €2.00).


Hot tip: If you still have a KeyCard, you can top it up in our online shop.
All ski passes with the exception of the Obertauern Winter Card can be topped up on an existing KeyCard. Simply enter the 23-digit KeyCard number on the back of your KeyCard in the "KeyCard number" field and go directly to the lift. Your ticket is activated directly at the reader. - No need to queue at the lift ticket offices.

Can I also ski in other ski areas with my Obertauern Ticket?

Yes, all tickets valid for 1.5 days or more are also valid in the neighbouring Großeck-Speiereck ski area.

What should I do if I have forgotten my keycard at home?

Please come to one of our cash desks with your order-confirmation. We will help you there.

Can I also redeem a voucher at a vending machine?

No. It is currently not possible to redeem a voucher at our vending machines. Please go to a main cash desk with your voucher.
